Pan Yaad
Pan Yaad: Tunes Carved in Time.
Since its inception in 2010, Pan Yaad has grown into one of Belize’s most anticipated cultural events, harmonizing the pulse of the nation with the vibrant rhythms of steel pan music. First held at the historic House of Culture in Belize City, where it proudly returns each year, this dynamic festival stands as a tribute to Belize’s independence and its multicultural heritage.
Rooted in tradition yet resonating with contemporary energy, Pan Yaad serves as a platform for both emerging and veteran Belizean musicians to showcase their artistry. Including commonly seen bands such as Pantempers, and Pandemonium, to school based bands such as St. John’s College (SJC Rebels), and University of Belize (UB Steel).
With each band coming to perform with their own theme and charm, this year will be one to remember.
The event celebrates unity through sound, with electrifying Punta, Soca and Afrobeats most commonly, all performed on the iconic steel pan.
Beyond entertainment, Pan Yaad fosters national pride and cross-cultural appreciation, uniting audiences in shared celebration of rhythm, identity, and resilience. This year at the House of Culture, Pan Yaad will take to the stage on the 13th of September, promising to be an unforgettable night of music, movement, and meaning.
